Learn to surf in Tenerife with us!
Our school is located in Playa de Las Americas in the south of the island of Tenerife. The objective of our team is to provide a family, fun and pleasant environment during the different courses. We want to make sure you have an amazing time and that you feel surrounded by new friends, as you begin your first attempts to surf or build the surfing skills you already have.
Surf Lessons
Ocean Life is a surf school certified by the Canarian Federation.
Group Lessons
This course is conducted in a small group with a maximum of four students per instructor. We will explain all the basics of surfing and then you can surf your first wave.
Semi-Private Lessons
You will not only learn how to "take off" on a surfboard, but also how to choose the right equipment, as well as important facts about the beach, waves and safety rules when surfing with others.
Private Lessons
Book a private instructor and progress quickly in surfing. Whether you are a beginner or if you already have some experience with surfing, everyone is welcome.
Surfskate Lessons
The practice of surfskate will help you improve your surf in an incredible and fast way!
Surfboard rental
In our surf school we have a large number of rental boards that are adapted to your surfing level and your preferences. We have softboards, shortboards, longboards and more.
Surf Van Ocean Life
We have a vehicle that allows us to go surfing at other surf spots! It has 9 places to discover new beaches, go on Surf Trips, excursions.
We offer transportation from your hotel / accommodation to our school for surf lessons.
The price is 20€ per person per journey within the Los Cristianos and Las Américas area; for other areas, please contact us for more information.

SURFING AT PLAYA DE LAS AMERICAS
Playa de las Americas in Tenerife is an exposed beach with reefs that has waves throughout the year . Perfect for learning to surf, as it has breaks for all conditions within a few minutes' walk from each other for beginners and more advanced surfers.
Most of the swell here comes from swells and the optimal swell angle is from the northwest, but nearby locations are working with swell from the southwest as well.
The lesson takes place in El Medio with right and left reefs. The quality of the waves is not affected by the tide. The famous nearby surf spots are El Conquistador, Piscina, El Dedo, La Derecha del Cartel, La Fitenia, La Izquierda.

Nina was my coach in water, she was super patient with me and always tried to find the perfect waves to practice. She was very friendly and I enjoyed the moments spent with her in water.
